The New Yankee Workshop, episodes 21x21 to 21x24, are up! These are also known as season 10, episodes 8 to 11, with new introductions by Norm Abram. I probably won't be posting in this blog ever again unless there's a dead link someone points out or something. This project was interesting while it lasted, a real time sucker!

Thanks! I still won't be encoding anymore episodes, but I can give a brief summary on the ripping and encoding. I have Pinnacle USB TV Tuner that can get Over-The-Air (OTA) broadcasts. So I use that, along with some software to record episodes, or capture the digital stream. After that, I use ProjectX to demux the recording. Then it's normal encoding routines from there. I can give more info, but there are better methods and hardware which I can link to if you're interested.
ReplyDeleteAs for getting Ask This Old House season 6 episodes. That can be hard to get. My guess is they were once uploaded to a Usenet group, so see if you can get a friend with access to that Usenet to request episodes. Don't pay for Usenet access to make a request since there's a chance no one will fulfill the request. The other alternative is to get a certain cable/satellite channel dedicated to DIY shows. I forgot the channel, but they do show older episodes of Ask This Old House. Good luck!
